The Delmarva Poultry Industry, Inc. records are comprised of material related to the Delmarva Chicken Festival and the poultry industry from 1926-2017 (with the bulk of the material dating from 1948-2004), as well as the predecessor and related organizations: Delaware State Poultry Commission and Eastern Shore Poultry Growers Exchange. In addition to the festival records, newspaper clippings related to the mission and vision of the industry document one of the Delmarva Peninsula’s most significant industries through a series of ephemera, photographs and scrapbooks. This collection highlights the impact of the Delmarva Poultry Industry; while revealing the unique characteristics of the festival, for example the large frying displayed yearly at the festival.

Hastings Hatchery collection

This collection contains material on Hastings Hatchery and its founder, Elmer F. Hastings. Items include a biographical sketch of Elmer Hastings written by Elbert Robbins in 2008, a cassette and CD of an interview of Mrs. Elmer Hastings and Henry Vinyard by Ray Thompson in 2007, two CDs of images pertaining to the Parsonsburg and Arkansas farms. In addition, there are photocopies of brochures pertaining to Hastings Hatchery's baby chick care and management, and pamphlet on the state certification of chicks. Also there are advertisements for the business, and photocopies with legend of an aerial shot of Hastings Hatchery.
